Itinerary
Day 1 & 2: CHOBE
Meet on arrival at Kasane International Airport, Botswana and depart for Chobe National Park. Boat cruises and game drives are included activities during these days.
About Chobe: Chobe National Park takes its name from the Chobe River. The Chobe River forms the northern boundary and protects about 11700 square km. Its vegetation varies from lush floodplains to the scorched Savuti marsh. This is classic big game country where herds of buffalo and elephant attain legendary proportions. These are matched by exceptionally large lion prides.
Day 3 & 4: CHOBE - KWANDO
Fly via light aircraft to the Kwando Concession, northern Botswana, and to Lebala Camp. The camp is situated on the wide open plains of the Linyanti marshes, which form the boundary between Botswana and Namibia. The southerly flowing Kwando River disappears into this vast marshland before emerging as the Linyanti River. These days include day and night game drives, and game walks (seasonal).
About Kwando: The Kwando Concession, covering roughly four thousand square kilometers lies on the northern edge of Botswana bordering Namibia across the Kwando River. There can only be a maximum of 36 people at one time on the Kwando Concession.
Day 5 & 6: KWANDO - OKAVANGO DELTA
Depart by light aircraft for Okavango Delta Pom Pom Island in a private concession situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, and on the waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the famous Moremi Game Reserve and offers superb Okavango scenery, the quintessential beautiful palm-fringed channels, lagoons and islands of the region, and a true Okavango wilderness experience. These days include day and night game drives
About Okavango delta: The Okavango Delta in Botswana is a very large, swampy inland delta formed where the Okavango River reaches a tectonic trough in the central part of the endorheic basin of the Kalahari.
Day 7 & 8: - OKAVANGO DELTA
Depart and fly to Moremi Crossing camp, the luxurious water-based camps, overlooking Chief’s Island and Moremi’s game-rich seasonal floodplains. These days spent being silently poled through the winding Delta channels on mekoro (traditional dug-out canoes), on game walks on Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve, and on motorboat excursions.
Day 9 & 10: OKAVANGO - CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE
Depart after breakfast to Central Kalahari Game Reserve via light aircraft . The area is known for it’s severe beauty, desert-adapted animals, plains antelope, and black-maned lions.
About Kalahari: The Kalahari Desert is a large semi-arid sandy savanna in southern Africa extending 900,000 square kilometers, covering much of Botswana, parts of Namibia, and regions of South Africa.
Activities offered are game drives, day trips to the well-known Deception Valley, and the Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans and nature walks with Bushman trackers
Day 11 & 12: KALAHARI -NXAI PAN NATIONAL PARK
Depart for Nxai Pan famous for the towering Baines’ Baobabs.
About Nxai Pan National Park: Nxai Pan National Park is a national park in north-eastern Botswana, consisting of Nxai Pan, which is one of the Makgadikgadi Pan salt flats
Night and day game drives with trips to the famous Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan, and nature walks with Bushman trackers.
Day 13: NXAI PAN - MAUN
Depart after breakfast and fly back to Maun.
